| File | Source and credit | Status |
|---|---|---|
| treaty-six.png | [Srdkurtz / Wikimedia Commons](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Treaty_6_Flag.png) | CC0 1.0; contributor rendering, not an official master. Compared with the photo accompanying Tyrone Tootoosis Sr.'s 2013 teaching. Retain attribution. Modern composition, not an 1876 artefact. |
| union-1801.svg | [Wikimedia Commons](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_the_United_Kingdom_(1-2).svg); vector Zscout370 | Public domain; source SVG retained. |

The pre-1801 design illustrates the 1606 combination; the filename's 1707 date refers to the later state. Not a surviving 1606 cloth. |
| canada-1957.svg | [Wikimedia Commons](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_Canada_(1957%E2%80%931965).svg); Denelson83 and subsequent contributors | Public domain; historical 1957–1965 Red Ensign rendering. |

| england.svg, scotland.svg, ireland-saltire.svg | Original simple geometric educational drawings informed by Royal Household descriptions | Saint Patrick's saltire is a historic heraldic component, not today's Republic of Ireland flag. |

## Final generation prompt

Built-in ImageGen mode. Use case: illustration-story. Asset type: wide educational web story landscape, 1536x1024 or wider. Create a richly detailed original painterly editorial illustration of open northern Great Plains prairie and aspen parkland, a broad gently winding river reflecting a low warm sun, tall native grasses in foreground, distant low rolling land and small aspen groves. A sense of continuity and living land. Contemporary illustrated-book quality with visibly textured brushwork, grounded natural colours, deep teal blue river and sky shadows, ochre gold grass, warm sunlight. Landscape itself occupies full frame, generous sky across upper third for foreground UI. Geographic inspiration only: Saskatchewan/Alberta parkland, not a reconstruction or named exact site. NO people, NO flags, NO buildings, NO tipis, NO cultural motifs, NO text, NO map, NO emblems, NO border. This landscape will sit behind precisely drawn and labelled historical flags; do not draw flags. It is an explicitly labelled illustration, not historical evidence.

## White-background revision

The current interface uses `making-plate.png` (imagined textile craft), `council-researched.png` (source-informed Carlton council reconstruction), and the canonical WolfWhale logo copied from `theme/wolfwhale/pix/orca.png`. No modern family portrait is displayed. The initial generic meeting and fort plates were rejected and are not included in the release. Research and reconstruction limits: `research/COUNCIL-RESEARCH.md`. The original prairie image is not displayed in the white revision.
